This original watercolour and ink painting features the historic Sir Thomas Herbert house in York, England. The structure dates back to the 16th and 17th centuries. Christopher Herbert, who later became Lord Mayor of York, rented the house. He purchased it in 1557 and later passed it on to his son, Thomas, who acquired neighbouring properties.
